Longyear Manor Historic Renovation
Brookline, MA
Project Details:
adaptive re-use
6 luxury condominiums
Longyear Manor located within the Fisher Hill Historic District in Brookline is an adaptive re-use project of the original Longyear Mansion that once overlooked Lake Superior in Marquette, Michigan. The original home was dismantled and reconstructed in Brookline between 1903 and 1906 across an 8 acre parcel.
HDS Architecture reconfigured the interior and sensitively modified the exterior to include 6 luxury condominiums ranging in size from 2,000 sq. ft. to 6,650 sq. ft. with private elevator access, light filled rooms with tall windows, high ceilings, period details and outdoor terraces overlooking a park-like setting.
